How to hire software engineers ?

In this short article i will share my opinion on what to look for when hiring software engineers .

As a Real Madrid (RM) fan and a software engineer there's many lessons to learn from RM's season in both the Spanish champions ship and the champions league.

RM had to face teams that had more stars and better technical qualities like : PSG, MC, Chelsea.

In paper all this teams should have beaten RM without breaking a sweat but they didn't not because they weak but because RM is not built around one player or two it's built around collective playing and giving it all out the jersey .

Enough from football and switching to software engineering isn't this what companies are desperately trying to do when trying to hire what's called 'Top talent' or 'Ninja' and they are forgetting the fact if you have a team of a "good enough" engineers they can cover each other lack in some technical areas and it's better than having exceptional engineers that don't play well with each other .

So instead of aiming for technically exceptional engineers aim for "good enough engineers" that are team players and invest some time/energy into turning them in very good engineers .

The lesson here is very simple "Together we go slow but far"
